About the product Equest Horse Wormer
Equest Oral Gel is for the treatment and control of adult and larval stages of important internal parasites including encysted and developing small redworms, large redworms and bots in horses and ponies with a single dose. It is a gel formulation that liquefies in the horse's mouth to reduce risk of rejection, to help ensure horses receive their complete dose. Equest is licensed for use in horses and ponies, including pregnatna and lactating mares, stallions and foals from the age of 4 months of age.
Licensed to control benzimidazole resistant strains of cyathostomins, including all larval stages, as well as other nematode species and bots and has the longest recommended dosing interval of any routine wormer at 13 weeks. it also has a unique two week persistency against small strongyles. How To Use
For oral adminstration. One 14.8g syringe contains sufficient gel to treat one 700kg horse at the recommended dose rate (0.4mg moxidectin per kg bodyweight). Each graduation on the calibrated syringe delivers sufficient gel to treat 25kg bodyweight. Use of a scale or weigh tape is recommended to ensure accurate dosing. To avoid overdosing, care should be taken to accurately dose foals, especailly low bodyweight foals or young ponies.
The recommended dosing interval for the control of small strongyles is 13 weeks. Consult your veterinary surgeon for the appropriate programme for your specific needs.
